This year we are more than chuffed to welcome back the Liquid Stage, which will runfrom dusk ‘til dawn in our beautiful new forest area (more on that below…) and playing host to the cream of the UK scene. Providing respite from the onslaught of EDM, no Glade would be complete without InSpiral who this year focuses on chill out with a superb line up to make your journey complete. InSpiral will be laying down the chillout 24hours a day, so if you find it hard to sleep, there’ll always be somewhere to go where the vibes are gentle, the cushions soft and the people magical
This year we also welcome the team that built the incredible Ozora festival over the past seven years. They will be helpingwith the décor and production throughout the Village and much more.
AND THERE’S MORE…
Remix Roller Disco -Home to every kind of remix mash up imaginable, from electro-swing to hoe-step, this venue is going to be full of fun, day and night. With some serious programming from people who are constantly pushing and blurring boundaries of musical genres in the every direction, this is going to be a sight to behold.
Bardcore – The merry pranksters Feast of Fools, a long standing collective who feature at The Secret Garden Party every year, will be bringing not only their mead bar, but also their merry band of players, performers and misfits, who will lead the late night fireside story telling. A beautiful, inclusive and entertaining bunch of characters, expect a mead fueled party of old until the wee hours…
Artful Badger -Another collective from the Garden joining us at glade this year, we welcome the Artful Badgers, feral disco denizens where the party always gets as weird and surreal as it does down right rude and dirty. If you’ve not seen these guys in action, you’re in for a treat…
Extended Licensing – There’s some great news for all those who really love to party. This year, we’ll be opening the doors on the festival at MIDDAY on Thursday, and will have music on a number of stages until MIDNIGHT. We’re also very pleased to announce that a number of our stages will be running until 6am and one until 8am on Saturday and Sunday morning, giving you a proper session.
New Sanctuary – This year, the Sanctuary is evolving. There will of course still be an incredible healing area, with therapists skilled in all the holistic arts – from reiki to massage, acupuncture to reflexology, gong therapy, holistic therapy and all that’s in between. We’re also introducing a spa, consisting of hot tubs, saunas, sweat lodges, changing rooms and more. All brought together in a beautiful area in and out of the trees. This will be a place to relax, indulge yourself and get seriously clean, both inside and out.
Cafés – This year at Glade, we’ve poured a great deal of love into our cafes and food stalls. Places to chill, laugh…and eat cake! We believe cafes are the heart and soul of any independent festival, so this year we’ve gone all out to source some of the best independent traders around. Our food court will be a place to meet your missing friends, take a breather from the madness of the festival, regroup, relax and unwind. With a huge variety of food and drink from all around the world on offer, including many vegetarian and vegan options, we’re looking forward to seeing you there.

I really like the original of this track, and to be honest i usually switch off when i see a remix of something that is big on the radio. But this was different. I liked the use of the original to give the track its base rhythm and i liked what this young chap added as his own style.
Here is a little bit about him to fill your knowledge banks –
Kevin Drew first took interest in music at age 14 by way of his father, an accomplished percussionist and DJ heavily involved in the New Jersey music scene. Kevin started by remixing popular music from artists on the radio like Prince and Janet Jackson using his father’s digital workstation and 8-track recorder, which later led to writing and composing his own original music. Kevin enrolled in choir and chorus classes during his freshman year of high school, but quickly dropped them after his first day of class for fear of being teased and ridiculed by fellow athletes. ‘KDrew’ (a moniker given to him by his basketball teammates) didn’t let the potential bullying deter his devotion to music outside of school, and he continued developing his craft as a producer and songwriter while taking interest in learning instruments like the piano and guitar. During his junior year KDrew met future friend and manager John Levy via the then popular networking site MySpace, and the two began working together hoping to one day strike a stake in the music entertainment world. When senior year arrived, KDrew’s adoration of music and sports came full circle when his high school football team and principal requested that he write and produce a theme song for the team to come out to at every game, and one that he could perform live for his peers during pep rallies. As the student body’s admiration for KDrew grew, so too did his confidence in being involved with music at school and he re-enrolled in the original choir and chorus classes he had dropped during freshmen year.
After graduating, KDrew regularly visited New York City to work with various producers and utilize their studios to continue crafting his own music and sound. With influences spanning Coldplay and Bruce Springsteen, to Michael Jackson and Maroon 5, he continued to expand his musical style and production across multiple genres including everything from rock and pop, to hip-hop, dance and dub-step. Opportunities to sign deals with television, film and major record companies began to surface as he and his manager continued their outreach and networking, but KDrew preferred to maintain control of his music until the right opportunity presented itself. Indie Music Group, co-founded by KDrew and John Levy, represents the new developing business model for success in today’s music industry and encompasses all aspects from writing and producing, to marketing, promotion and more.
KDrew is currently in the process of releasing a series of seven consecutive EP’s entitled “Free” (Volumes 1-7) which showcase his musical style and range as a producer, songwriter and performer.

Sorry my links are fucked, please copy and paste the link to get it – www.curiouskontrol.bandcamp.com
A curious email appeared in my inbox this morning, i opened it and listened to the tracks inside. And to my amazement, this artist really got me excited. His style had a slight comparison to a certain long haired, glasses wearing gentleman called Skrillex, but the underlying elements and structure that he is displaying, are truly passionate and professional. I really liked his tracks and i hope you will too, feel free to comment and discuss this, juts make sure you let him know if you do.
Curious Kontrol is the production alias of 16 year old producer Ryan Oliphant from Hartlepool, UK. Since starting producing in early 2010, he has 3 dubstep EP’s under his belt and is currently working towards his 1st Drum and Bass EP entitled “Come Home”. It soon becomes apparent through his music that he takes influence from the likes of Gemini, Skrillex, Netsky and Zomboy, to name a few. Living in an area where the dubstep scene has not yet taken off, Curious Kontrol has recently started getting his name out there in the local music scene and is doing his bit to get the dubstep scene started in the town.

This is some tasty slow, wobbly filth right here. Not your usual kind of Squitty Bubbler heart ripping madness step, that we usually feature. But this one got my shoulders shrugging to the ‘old school’ deep, penetrating madness of the sub bass wobble. See if you feel the same?

We shall stomp through the night, as tonight is Friday, and we love a Friday round here. Oh and did i mention, Squitty Bubbler is exclusively hosting the release of this mix, that is, until the gents themselves release it on their site. Thanks guys, love. x
